Please bring vaccination records, any medications (we cannot administer injections), food, emergency contact numbers, and any personal items. You may bring beds, chew toys, or any manageable item that will enhance your pet’s stay. We ask that for your pet’s safety, do not bring any glass or ceramic items. (while we take every possible precaution to return all belongings in good condition, we recommend cherished items stay at home).
The safety of your pet is our top priority. For our canine family members, we will need proof of the DHPP, Rabies, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza (H3N8 and H3N2) vaccines. Your pet must have at least the first round of the 2 part Canine Influenza series in order to visit us and enjoy all the excitement our resort has to offer. To qualify for group playtime your dog must pass our free evaluation and must be spayed or neutered. All vaccinations must be administered by a veterinary professional.
YES and we highly encourage it! The best thing for the health of your pet is to stay on their regular diet. Changing your dog’s diet may result in an upset stomach while staying at Doggie District. If you bring food for your pet from home, we ask that you pre-bag the appropriate amount of food for your stay. We do have a premium veterinary diet, ProPlan GI, available for your convenience, should you run out or feed the same at home, at a cost of $3 per meal.
If your pet needs veterinary care while during his or her stay Doggie District will try to consult with your pet’s primary veterinarian. If this is not possible, we work with several local veterinarians to resolve any medical situation that may arise. At Doggie District, our goal is to be the best place for your pet when they aren’t at home, and that means ensuring a happy, healthy, and safe environment. We are pleased to offer the Doggie District Health Care Commitment Program, in which Doggie District will reimburse you up to $500 for any eligible expenses incurred while your pet is at our resort receiving boarding, daycare, training, and/or grooming services. When you bring your pet to Doggie District, you are automatically enrolled in this program and will be eligible to receive this reimbursement for any treatment or diagnosis provided by your licensed veterinarian for any incident that occurred during your pet’s stay or up to 5 days after their departure. For more details regarding the program and to sign the Health Care Commitment, contact your local resort.
