REQUIRED VACCINATIONS

At least 48 hours prior to your dog's arrival for any service at Doggie District, we must have a formal vaccination record from a licensed veterinarian indicating that your dog is up to date on the following vaccinations:

  • Rabies

  • Bordetella

  • Distemper

  • Canine Influenza (H3N8 and H3N2)

ORIENTATION DAY

All first-time guests or guests who have not visited Doggie District within the last six months must schedule and complete our FREE Orientation Day before their boarding or daycare reservation can be confirmed. Please contact your Doggie District location to schedule your pup's orientation day! During your Orientation Day, you get to meet our loving and professional staff, your pup has a whole day of romping around and making new friends, and you both walk away looking forward to another day at Doggie District.

FEEDING

We encourage you to bring the food your pet eats at home to enjoy while they stay with us. Changing a pet's food can cause stomach irritation and digestive issues, so we prefer to feed them the food they regularly eat. If you forget your food for meals - no worries! Our high-quality in-house food can be provided at the owner's request.

MEDICATION

We can administer oral or topical medications for your pet, but not injections. An additional fee applies. Prescription medications should be provided in their respective prescription containers, along with clear written directions.

SPAY / NEUTER

To qualify for social playtime or doggie daycare, your dog must pass our free orientation and must be spayed or neutered. At select Doggie District locations, unaltered dogs may board with us but cannot participate in social play during their stay, alternatively, they can enjoy one-on-one playtimes with our staff! Dogs must be at least 14 days post spay/neuter in order to be in facility, we do not accept any pets with open wounds or stitches for their safety.

GENERAL HEALTH

We cannot accept any pets that are pregnant, in splints, casts, stitches bandages or have contagious conditions. We require all pets to be flea free. Flea treatments will be given, at owner's expense, to any pet that is discovered with fleas or ticks. At Doggie District, our goal is to be the best place for your pet when they aren't at home, and that means ensuring a happy, healthy, and safe environment. We are pleased to offer the Doggie District Health Care Commitment Program.

NON-SOCIAL OR UNALTERED DOGS

At select Doggie District locations, unaltered and/or non-social dogs may board with us but cannot participate in social play during their stay, alternatively, they can enjoy one-on-one playtimes with our staff! There is an additional charge for non-social boarding. We cannot accept dogs if they show signs of, or have a history of, aggressive behavior such as biting, snapping or lunging.

GROOMING RESERVATION POLICIES

Advance reservations and current vaccinations are required. Please advise our staff of allergies, sensitivities, or any pre-existing medical conditions so that we may avoid aggravating them during grooming or bathing. If fleas are found on your pet, we will administer a hypoallergenic flea bath and flea treatment, to eradicate fleas in order to maintain salon sanitation, at client's expense. Matting of a dog's coat is extremely painful and potentially dangerous to their health. Please advise Doggie District of any matting on your pet before they are left at the facility for grooming. If mats are found on your pet, they must be addressed before we can proceed with your pet's appointment. Depending on the severity of matting, the groomer can attempt to de-mat or shave down the pet at an additional cost. Our groomers/stylists are trained professionals. We reserve the right to alter or cease any groom in the event that our staff determines it is in your pet's best interest, or if your pet displays aggressive behavior.

MEDICAL ATTENTION

Doggie District strives to provide a safe, stress-free facility for owners' pets. However, some pets react differently to new environments and separation from their owners. There is even some risk that pets in the same family may engage in rough play and injure one another when staying together. In non-emergency situations (e.g., continued diarrhea, loss of appetite), we will contact the owner or owner's designee to discuss the recommended protocol. For emergencies in which urgent care appears needed, we will transport the pet to our on-call veterinary clinic and then contact the owner. Please see our Health Care Commitment Program for a description of eligible veterinary expenses reimbursed by Doggie District.

FLEAS & TICKS

All pets will be checked thoroughly for fleas and ticks. If any are found, that pet will be treated immediately, at the owner's expense, before being allowed to enter the boarding area.
